Me, Myself and I

You know you’ve moved on when eating his favorite chocolate doesn’t dampen your spirit.

You know you’ve moved on when his absence doesn’t bother you.

You know you’ve moved on when his coffee brown eyes become a nonentity to your sight.

You know you’ve moved on when his poems end up in your trash.

You know you’ve moved on when you burn down his portrait that was supposed to be your greatest work of art.

You know you haven’t moved on because all these things still matter to you.

You never stopped hoping, you only stopped trying.

Maybe that’s where it all went wrong.

And now here you are, writing to yourself, about yourself, for yourself.

Do you still wonder what went wrong?

May be we never move on! The memories, the coffee brown eyes, the poems are etched in the mind.

Indeed. They are etched in our minds for eternity. Every little thing is a reminder of a beautiful time, a sad memory, a fresh beginning and the inevitable ending.

A fresh beginning and the inevitable ending. Now that’s a beautiful phrase. There is inexplicable sorrow in it but the beauty of the words!

A wise man once said, if you can love once then may be twice, and then may be thrice and so forth, as long as you know how to love. No harm in tasting nectar of different fruits πŸ™‚

True that. Personally, I don’t believe in soul mates. I just think that there’s enough love for us every time we dive into it with our soul.

Oh yes, self-love before anything else is without a doubt most important to me! Even though people say that makes me selfish, I don’t care. They have no inkling of what I’ve been through.

yes specially of women in our cultures, if you bend or please too much than you are calling for troubles, self-love and little thick skin and one can survive!

Yep. That’s exactly what I think. There’s a fine line of difference between compromise and slavery. The former is done out of love while the latter is a pointless waste of time. Love is about connecting someone whose flaws fit perfectly with yours, it’s like putting together a puzzle piece.

Be happy and live your life, those who like you will trail along if not then what can better than to be always alone basking in the glory of self-love!

This is very true! I believe if the love is true, then you’ll never really move on/forget the person, but some day you’ll start to be okay with not having them around anymore; someday you can look back on it and it won’t hurt anymore.

Yeah. Someday it’ll all be an experience worth living. All the memories – bitter & sweet make us truly appreciate life.
