A Journey with Words

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all doing fine. In this post I’m going to share briefly about why/how I started writing and also about an achievement a little later.

(I promise I won’t be long)

I can’t remember putting down the pencil whenever my thoughts wouldn’t stop flowing. I wrote my first poem when I was 4 & my mom framed it. It was accompanied with a little illustration as well.

I was watching a childhood video where I was barely 3 years old, sitting on a couch & scribbling gibberish on a paper with a sophisticated expression on my face like that of a writer.

Mom: What’re you doing?

Me: I’m writing. (Replies without even lifting my head once or taking my eyes off the paper)

The 3 year old me didn’t know alphabets let alone sentences, but she knew something I didn’t; that I was born to be a writer.

Whether the world ever gets to read my words or not, I’ll keep writing for myself. This is the one act that I can be selfish at without having to upset someone.

Now, coming down to a little moment of happiness, Guess What!? My poem ‘The Internet Connection‘ got published in the Indian Periodical!

Do give it a read (if you want to) & let me know your thoughts!
